OMG I am tired

My baby is having nightmares!!!! Which as all mothers know equates to mommy gets no sleep all night. This is the second night in a row and I am trying to keep my eyes open while I sit in my boring computers class.  I wonder what is going on when he is sleeping.  I feel bad for him. 
Anyway on another note I am down a total of 14 lbs!!!! wahoo!

Its a monday again!!

So it's monday again!! I spent all weekend trying to potty train my son.  Oh and besides this morning he refused to pee the whole weekend.  Ok so answer me this... how can my son go all day in underwear at school and pee on the toilet as needed for the last two weeks and then come home and have accident after accident while with me?  is it a personal thing? Am I just not cool enough or whats the deal.  His teacher is just special I guess. 

So on saturday I spent some time on the internet reading potty trainging info that covered all spectrums and got what i thought was some good Ideas and nothing worked
One article I read said to put the portable potty somewhere he spends a lot of time so that he doesnt feel that he really ahs to stop what he is doing to go potty.  So i put the potty in the corner of the living room where he sat on it may times but only inbetween accidents. So after a day of that not helping I created a sticker chart and so far that has not really helped either.  I just don't get it.  I mean if he was having issues at school too then I wouldnt be worried but he goes all day at school!

Anyone with suggestions I would gladly take them!!

Just gotta keep working I guess!

Funny stories

I have decided that I am going to devote most of this blog to the funny things my child does.

This morning on the way to school my son was in the bckseat drinking his milk out of hid buzz lightyear sippy cup when all of the sudden he says, " hey buzz whatcha doin? you sleepy? I sleepy! maybe we nap later! love ya buzz bye bye!"
Now I am not sure if this was a two sided conversation in his mind or he just wanted to hear himself talk but either way it made me chuckle!!!

It was so cute.

Oh and this morning when I tried to get him to wake up he told me "no mommy, sleep now school tomorrow" I said Elli we have to go to school now mommy has class" his answer was, " Mommy I stay here you go school night night!"

yeah like I am going to leave him at home alone but I guess he thought that would be a good idea.

Is it Friday yet?

Wow... thats all I can say.  For those of you who don't know me well I had lap band surgery in 2006 and lost a lot of weight but have a lot more to lose.  I went to the doctor today and had my band tightened so that I eat less and feel full longer.  So for the next two days I am on a liquid/ soup diet and the slowly add solids back in. I forgot how hard it is to only have liquids!! but I made it through day one so I am doing good so far.

I am so excited because Elliott's school pictures are in and I can pick them up in the morning!! I hope they turned out well.

Mike is fighting a stomach bug which is not fun.  He turns into a bit of a baby.  Even though I do when I am sick as well some how it bugs me just slightly.  ( but don't tell him that!)

I went shopping with my mom, aunt, and cousin today and that was fun.  I ran into an old friend that I used to work with and it was really nice to catch up.

I do not want to go to my 8 am class though. Well I guess I should go to bed cause its getting late and 6 is really early!

the joys of motherhood

ya know when you become a mother there are certain things you know you will ave to deal with for sure like, bottle feeding, diapering, bathing, play time, and even dealing with sickness, but then there are things that don't pop into your mind right away but seem to consume you later.

As i have said before my son is 2 oh the joys of toddlers.  Some how he is old enough to tell me how things are going to be yet too young to clean up after himself.  I feel like lately my whole day is cleaning up after him.  When they are little its just small messes, diapers, faces after meals, before they can really get around the toys stay in one spot making them quick to clean up but then some how when they turn two everything changes... now instead of diapers its pee on the floor and wall instead of toilet, food on the chair and floor oh and the face, and toys everywhere! And yes I mean everywhere. I found a hammer (or a bop bop as Elliott calls it) in my shoe in my closet! really what was he fixing in there and why?  Oh and then there's the pizza sauce i got off the under side of the table yesterday.  He is a piece of work. of course i wouldn't trade him for anything though.

The funniest thing happened last night, he came to our room and started tapping me, "mama, mama mama" when i finally woke up he says, " mommy whatcha doin?"  i said "what does it look like I'm doin?" he says " I dunno!"

Anyhow have a paper to write that I have been putting off for a week and now is due wed.  so i guess I better get busy.

It's been a while

Hey all! It's been a few days but I have been super busy. We are having company in a few days and I have been trying to make the house look super cute. This massive feat has included reorganizing and creating new things out of old things. I took my old dining room table and this cute bookcase my grandpa made and I have repainted them to match the house and I am going to use them as a desk and hutch combo. It's going to be so totally cute.

Friday night we sttod in line for a bit so that mike could get the new ipad2 which is what I am blogging on right now! It's pretty cool. It's fun to use and the keyboard is really nice. If we had extra money I would get one too but I'm good with my laptop for now.

Tomorrow Elliott and I are going shopping so I can get some accessories for the house to dress it up a bit. I'm excited to get to show off my house to some of my family I haven't seen in a long time. I think we are going to have lots of fun.

There is still a lot to be done before I am satisfied but I feel like I am making good progress.

Well, gotta go lots to do and I think I may need a nap.

The Cleaning day

I spent the day rearranging furniture, cleaning out cabinets and getting rid of junk.

This morning I went through Elliott's toys got rid of all the things he doesn't play with and donated them to the daycare.  It was so cute, it was like Christmas at the school when I brought all the toys into the infant and toddler rooms.  It warmed my heart to see all the smiles that his old toys brought to those little kids faces.  I know that those toys will be well used and loved.

After all that excitement I came home and got busy on the house.  We have this old cheap desk that was falling apart so I decided it was time to go, I took a hammer to it which was extremely fun! knocked it into peaces and threw it in the trash.

I still have a lot of work to do on the house but it is coming along nicely.

oh what a day!

Today was interesting to say the least, accidentally slept in... finally picked up my new table, and worked on my constitutional law midterm debate.  I was a busy girl. Of course I didn't get as much done as I wanted but I think that's how it always works.  You make a list and you are ready to tackle it full force and then things come up and you always get off schedule! Never fails. 

I did however get my table and chairs put together although it did take us 2 hours to do it.  Oh and I got this really great deal at Kohl's! It was awesome, I found these two really cute leather storage cubes that are also little seats and they were on sale buy one get one for a dollar!!!!!! can you believe that? It was so great! 

My friend Kim came over so we could work on our projects together which turned into getting side tracked alot! But we had fun, boy did we ave fun! I did get a little bit of research done though.  We went to eat Chinese for lunch which was great until Kim found a hair in her food. That was the end of that! That kind of thing really creeps me out.

My poor little man somehow scraped his back at school but of course he never cried so his teacher has no idea how it happened.  He cracks me up... he refused to put on underwear today so he spent most of the day commando! Hey whatever works to get him to pee on the toilet!

I am so over this snow mess! Can some one tell the atmosphere that it is spring time!!! I want warmth and sun please, I said a prayer guess Ill say another.  I do hope though that we get some sun soon because I really want to sand down my old table and paint it.  I am putting a hutch on it and turning it into a desk! its going to be so cute. If only it would stop snowing long enough for me to take the table out and sand and paint. I just need one good day!

I am cleaning out closets and I have decided that my kid is way too spoiled... he has more toys than I ever had when I was little.  His room is just crammed packed.  I am going to donate his older things to the daycare because he has way too much.  I have also decided that I have too much clothing but I am hoping that I will lose so much weight that none of them will fit me anymore and I will have to start over! That's my goal.

I am so tired because Elliott kept coming to our bed last night again.  I don't really know what that's all about.  It was so funny though because he was talking in his sleep last night! He kept asking us what we were doing and I would look at him and he was completely knocked out! It was so cute.  Tonight he was tired, he fell asleep sitting up watching TV with his daddy. 

Man I keep yawning so I guess that's my cue.

Making a change in my life

Lets see... first of all I must give some credit to my good friend Elisha because I got the idea to start this after reading her cute blog titled tiaras and tow trucks.  I have decided that I is time to make a major change in my life. I have become stagnant and that is not ok. I need to be more than I have been.  I am making changes.

To make since of this lets go back some, I am 28 married for just over 4 years, have a 2 year old son, no carrer, overweight, and live in my parents basement.

Ok with all that said I sound extremely pathetic but there are some extenuating curcomstances that lead me here.  My husband and I moved here 2 years ago and at that point we had our own place, but then my husband lost his job and mine followed shortly after.  We moved into my parents fully finished 2 bedroom basement to save money and we both decided to go back to school to get real careers.

I currently will graduate in December and my husband in June.  We have come a long way over the past year but in January I decided going back to school just wasnt enough. We had not been going to church on a regular basis so we are making a change there.  This thursday I will attend my first women's bible study and I am very excited.  We are getting more involved.

Also I am making some personal changes. I am changing my eating habits (diets do not work), and excersising daily. I also thought it would be a cool idea to document this whole process.  I want to loose 80 lbs by the time I graduate. I want to be a skinny paralegal, not a fat one!

I ordered the Zumba dance workout videos the other day and they are awesome. I am having a blast dancing off the pounds.  I have lost 10 so far so 70 to go!

My son is such a hand full. He just turned 2 in January and thinks he knows everything.  We are trying to potty train him and for some reason he can go all day at school with out accidents but won't go on the toilet at home. Whats with that? Its frusterating but I am going to just keep trying. I guess thats all you can do.  Today he fell at school and busted his lip on a toy. The teacher calls me to tell me what happened and when i asked if he cried she says, " no not at all, actually he was mad that I mad him sit down and rest while I cleaned him up and washed his lip cause he wanted to go play some more!" yeah that sounds like my kid. He is tough as nails when he gets physically hurt but he wears his feelings in his sleeve. one little thing and he is all tears. And I thought girls were supposed to be the emotional ones! oh well, I love him with all my heart.

Well, I guess this has been a bit long for a blog but hey had to get you caught up.

Oh lets see what about my day today... it was busy!
got up a bit late, only cause my little munchkin kept getting into bed with me and my husband (who from here on out will be known as Mike) I can't sleep with that kid all over me!
so anyway, up at 8:30 did a few things around the house
gave Elliott (oh thats my little munchkin with big emotions) a bath
got him ready for school and took him to daycare
I came back home (because its spring break!!!!)
worked out and showered
got ready and went to run around with my mom
she had an MRI today so I took her to that
oh we tried to go pick up my new dining room table only the stupid sales guy gave me the way wrong measurements! it would not fit in my moms SUV so we will going back tomarrow in a bigger vehicle
and it is now 11 pm so I think it is bed time because the morning comes again so fast!
